President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, recently received heartfelt letters from junior and senior high school students at Sekolah Rakyat in Cibinong, West Java. The President personally took the time to read the letters while in his office, as shared through the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat. The post included photographs of President Prabowo engrossed in reading the letters and a handwritten note from a student.
One of the students, Erni Andayani, wrote a touching letter expressing her gratitude to Prabowo for inaugurating Sekolah Rakyat. The school has provided her and others with access to quality education, reigniting their aspirations. Erni’s letter conveyed deep appreciation and the belief that they can now pursue their dreams with the facilities and support provided by Sekolah Rakyat.
Sekolah Rakyat was officially launched for the 2025–2026 academic year, managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs to assist children from economically disadvantaged families. Currently operating in 63 locations across Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Sekolah Rakyat aims to empower students and create opportunities for the Golden Generation of the nation.
