Paskibraka Members from Papua Ready to Make Country Proud

Two high school students from Papua expressed their pride and excitement in being part of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day celebrations as members of the elite national flag-raising troop, Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka), at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta alongside President Prabowo Subianto. Representing Papua Pegunungan Province, Franciscus Sakfiris Pahabolisage, a student at SMA Negeri 1 Wamena, and Stincek Laramiapa, representing Papua Tengah Province from SMA Negeri 1 Nabire, were filled with joy to witness the celebration in person. Franciscus expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, highlighting the rigorous selection process that led him to this moment, while Stincek shared her commitment to delivering the best performance before the President and the nation. Both students emphasized the importance of teamwork and camaraderie among the Paskibraka team members during their training, expressing their excitement and nerves as they prepared for the big day on August 17.
