Cleetus McFarland Signs Two-Year Deal with RCR for Part-Time NASCAR Racing

Garrett Mitchell, also known as YouTuber Cleetus McFarland, is gearing up to make his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts (NOAPS) debut at Rockingham, a notoriously challenging oval track in the sport. He will drive the #33 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing, a well-respected team with a rich history in NASCAR, including six Cup titles with the iconic Dale Earnhardt. McFarland’s debut is part of a three-race deal for 2026 and potentially 2027, with races at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway on the horizon.

Tommy’s Express will be sponsoring McFarland’s NASCAR debut, where he will be teammates with Jesse Love and Austin Hill, the current championship leaders. McFarland expressed his excitement about the opportunity to race with Richard Childress Racing and learn from the team’s experienced leadership. The race at Rockingham is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, during Easter Weekend, with Kasey Kahne driving the #33 entry last year.

Despite his background as a popular YouTuber with nearly five million subscribers, McFarland has been transitioning into the world of professional stock car racing. He made his ARCA debut at Daytona last year and participated in four ARCA races during the 2025 season, achieving top-ten finishes at Talladega and Charlotte. His NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut with Niece Motorsports earlier this year ended in a crash, but he remains determined to pursue his racing career. The North Carolina Education Lottery 250 at Rockingham presents another exciting opportunity for McFarland to showcase his skills on the track.
