Current Formula 1 championship leader Kimi Antonelli took advantage of the Easter break to visit Valentino Rossi’s renowned VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy. Antonelli, who has had a strong start to the 2026 season with consecutive wins at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix, has positioned himself as a serious title contender. With a five-week break in the F1 calendar due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, the Italian driver opted for an action-packed weekend at Rossi’s ranch. Antonelli shared glimpses of his time at the dirt-track ranch on social media, where he was joined by MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi and members of the VR46 Academy. While his counterparts hit the track, Antonelli seemed content observing from solid ground as they navigated the dirt.
Sitting comfortably at the top of the drivers’ standings, Antonelli leads with 72 points, with his Mercedes teammate George Russell trailing by nine points in second place. Following his championship lead after the Japanese Grand Prix, Antonelli expressed his satisfaction with his performance, emphasizing the early stage of the championship race. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton currently hold the third and fourth positions in the drivers’ standings. The upcoming Miami Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from 1st to 3rd May at the Miami International Autodrome.
