Indonesia commemorated its 80th Independence Day with the theme “United in Sovereignty, Prosperous People, Advancing Indonesia,” symbolizing a national vision of unity and progress. According to Noudhy Valdryno from the Presidential Communication Office, unity is seen in the daily lives of Indonesians through harmony and mutual cooperation. President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to welfare is reflected in various government programs aimed at improving public well-being, such as the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program and the People’s School initiative.
The aspiration for a developed nation and global competitiveness is encapsulated in the vision of Golden Indonesia (Indonesia Emas). The official 80th Independence Day logo represents Indonesia’s trajectory, with elements symbolizing unity, prosperity, and progress. The logo, designed by Bram Patria Yoshugi, was chosen from 245 submissions, emphasizing collective pride and national unity. The government’s dedication to transparency, policy clarity, and public trust are vital for national advancement.
Amid the challenges of modern communication, the Presidential Communication Office urges Indonesians to be discerning and critical in the face of disinformation that threatens unity. Collaboration among various sectors of society is crucial in organizing inclusive and participatory Independence Day celebrations. Through joint efforts, Indonesia aims to become a sovereign, prosperous, and progressive nation.
