Proven Free MBG Meals Boost Kids’ Concentration

A recent study conducted in Aceh revealed that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program has had a positive impact on children’s concentration levels, as demonstrated by improvements in short-term memory assessments. These findings suggest that the program plays a significant role in enhancing learning motivation among students, leading to improved educational outcomes. Expert Council Member of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Ikeu Tanziha, highlighted the relationship between concentration, attention, and cognitive function, emphasizing the importance of factors such as learning motivation, nutritional intake, psychological well-being, and physiological conditions in influencing a child’s ability to concentrate. The MBG Program, which provides key nutrients essential for brain development and cognitive function, aims to address children’s nutritional needs and enhance their cognitive potential. Despite challenges related to unhealthy consumption behavior and limited access to nutritious foods in certain regions, efforts to support the successful implementation of the program are crucial for delivering lasting benefits for future generations and society as a whole, as emphasized by Ikeu.
